MT
ROSE
Why
to go
Mt Rose is the highest base resort in Nevada, offering over
60 trails and an average of 400 inches of snow per season.
It is perfect for a day trip at the start or end of your holiday
in Nevada. From the main day lodge, at 8,260 feet it is a
quick 3 ½ minute ride to the summit. Here you will
find some awesome views of Nevada and the Lake Tahoe region
as well as terrain for all levels. Experts can expect surprisingly
steep trails, moguls, double black chutes opening to powder
drops and treed areas. Beginners and intermediates can cruise
the tree lined trails and venture into the steeper areas at
there own pace.
The
terrain park being a high light with the younger skiers and
boarders. With no accommodation on the mountain the day lodge
offers a BBQ deck and caters for your day needs. Do not miss
The double black chutes accessible from the top of the Northwest
Magnum 6 chair, will test the very best.
Getting
there and around
Mt Rose has a free day car park and is only 22 miles from
Reno International Airport. Shuttle buses are available from
the larger Casinos in Reno.
Hot
tips
On powder days allow plenty of time to get there
as snowy conditions can slow traffic.
