13 years ago while traveling through Europe on a winter vacation, we were in Salzburg Austria contemplating our next destination.

We came across a book, a winter resort travel guide and flicked through the pages for some inspiration.

A little known Italian resort which the writer painted as a skiing and snowboarding wonderland, with amazing nightlife and food you could only dream of jumped out at us. After checking the snow conditions a 2 day non stop journey by bus and train delivered us to our destination.

On arrival, exhausted we rechecked the guide. Had we taken a wrong turn? The resort that we had all been dreaming of certainly was not before us.

We stayed for two days and then left for another resort all a little disappointed from the experience.
