 Winter Park, Colorado, USA

Winter Park

Why to go
Winter Park has an excellent snow record of big dumps of dry powder on a regular basis across the 5 connected mountain areas of Winter Park, Mary Jane, Vasquez Ridge, Parsenn Bowl and Vasquez Cirque. Each area provides it own unique terrain ranging from gentle groomed trails through to wide open bowls and steep and deep bumps. Mary Jane with the motto “No Pain, No Jane” offers some of America’s best bump skiing.

Winter Park town area is divided into two parts separated by a 5 minute drive, with a small number of accommodation and shops at the base of the resort and the larger full featured town of Winter Park below holding a good selection of entertainment, dining, bars and shopping all serviced by a free shuttle bus.

Do not miss

Timberline Chair offering a plethora of routes on Parsenn Bowl and Vasquez Cirque through largely open powder fields and some magnificent views.

Rail Yard Terrain Park and Pipe.

Any one of the bump runs on Mary Jane.

Getting there

“Ski Train” direct from Denver is the largest passenger train in the US carrying over 750 passengers from Denver’s Union Station directly to Winter park in just over 2 hours.

Driving, 67 miles from Denver (1hr 25 min's).

Hot Tip

Parking at the base of Mary Jane on powder days and taking the Summit Express can help you get a head start on those heading for Parsenn Bowl area.

Get away from the crowds early on powder days and have the gentle powder groomers around the Pioneer Express chair all to yourself.
